More children on the way for John Travolta?

People reports that John Travolta is considering having another child with his wife Kelly Preston at some point in the near future. The couple already has two children named Ella Bleu and Jett who are currently 6 and 14 years old, respectively. Travolta is quoted by People as saying

“There’s a thought of this summer maybe trying for a third but that depends on Kelly’s schedule,” … “I grew up with six kids in my family. I thought I would have five or six.”

I thought that the timing of this was interesting as I was reading this article because it appears that Travolta and Preston are having children at somewhat regular 7 or 8 year intervals. This is interesting from an astrological standpoint because astrologers commonly associate 7 year intervals with the Saturn cycle since about every 7 years Saturn will be approximately at a 90 degree angle or “square” to where it was 7 years earlier. That is to say, 7 years is approximately a quarter of the time that it takes for Saturn to complete its 29 year cycle through the zodiac and return back to the position where it started from. Saturn returning to the position that it held in a person’s birth chart approximately every 29 years is commonly known in astrological circles as the “Saturn return”, and it is generally held to be a very important and pivotal time in a person’s life, for better or worse depending on the birth chart.

For some reason this specific planetary cycle seems to be closely linked to children in John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s lives. The answer seems to lie in the position of the Saturn in the birth charts of both people.

Notice that both John and Kelly have their natal Saturn in fixed signs, Scorpio and Aquarius, respectively. John’s Saturn actually plays an important role in his chart since it is the ruler of his Lot of Fortune and his Sun. Interestingly, John’s natal Saturn at 9 degrees of Scorpio is actually placed in his 5th whole sign house, which is the house that is associated with children in both the ancient and modern traditions of horoscopic astrology. It is not entirely clear exactly what role Saturn plays in Kelly’s chart since we do not have a birth time for her, but it is notable that her Saturn is at 4 degrees of Aquarius, square John’s.

The couple had their first child, Jett, in 1992 when transiting Saturn was at 16 Aquarius. This was not long after Kelly’s Saturn return and John’s first Saturn square after his Saturn return in Scorpio in the mid 80’s. Their next child, Ella Bleu, was born in 2000 when transiting Saturn was at 15 Taurus, almost exactly 90 degrees away from where it was when Jett was born, in opposition to John’s natal Saturn and squaring Kelly’s. Since August of 2005 Saturn has been in the next fixed sign, Leo, and based on their past track record it is not surprising that the question of children is coming up again at this time when Saturn is right in the middle of another fixed sign. We can assume that if the pattern stays consistent that that John Travolta and Kelly Preston will have another child at some point later this year.

However, unless she is already pregnant at this point it would seem like this child will actually break the previous pattern of giving birth while Saturn is in fixed signs because Saturn actually leaves Leo and makes its ingress into Virgo later this year in early September. The correlation at this point is still quite compelling though, and I suspect that this is a story that we will be revisiting again in the coming months.

I apreciate very much your remark about Natal Saturn aspects in this relashionship: it shows how important it is (especially trines and squares) whereas we don’t use to pay much attention to it which is a big mistake. When there are aspects of Saturn in a relationship it often indicates that the relationship is based on Saturn aspects; Saturn on the AS is important as well; it makes the relationship lasting a long time beginning from the square of Saturn for example and ending during a Saturn return on the other partner AS (but in this case all depends on both natal Saturn positions and their aspects to Venus or the Moon but we often notice there is an aspect between them.

Saturn in scorpio, death, clearly announces a tragedy in the house of children. House 5’s Ruler, Mars is in 6th, House of Crisis and chronic diseases in the sign of Sagittarius, at 4° degree. I have the conviction that Jett’s death was meant to Teach the biggest lesson of Life to his parents : when Young children or teens die, Parents are forced to completely Revise what they thought to be a Right Vision. John’s vision of Religion is Not the Right One. For this Religion is about Money and Power.
and Jupiter is about Power and Money too.

Scientology has never created Life and Love. Saturn is here the Way these glamorous, rich, famous parents to Teach Saturn’s lessons. spiritual maturity. It is tough. very tough. But It is the only explanation when God takes children from their parents. It cannot be for nothing. It must be for Spiritual Reasons.
Kelly is a most compassionate being (Jupiter in piscis). She is the true Evolving factor in the couple. I am truly Sad for this death. We all are meant to experience it. Saturn is for All of us.
